You are at the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME!
Going into a church can be a daunting experience, whether you have been part of another church or are trying a church out for the first time. At Elim Coatbridge we try our best to make you feel very much a part of our meeting.
It’s been just over 100 years since the Elim movement was founded. We have come a long way on our journey. But we are still to reach our destination.
1915: OUR JOURNEY BEGAN
George Jeffreys founded Elim in 1915, in Monaghan, Ireland.
1924 - 1934: GOD ANSWERED PRAYERS
the number of people becoming Christians exploded. The meetings hit the headlines, and from 1924 to 1934 Principal George Jeffreys (as he became known) and his team became household names as they toured the country.
THE FOURSQUARE GOSPEL
Jesus is the Saviour
Jesus the Healer
Jesus the Baptiser in the Holy Spirit
Jesus the Coming King
PROMISES PROMISES
doctrines were firmly ‘orthodox’ – shared in common with the historic Protestant denominations like the Anglican Church, Methodists, Baptists, etc, who all believe in ‘the Trinity’ – God in three
persons: Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.
Elim took God at his Word and so God honoured that by delivering on his promises in the Bible. And he is still doing the same today!
WORLD VISION
Today, Elim comprises over 550 churches in the UK and Ireland, but we are also linked to over 9,000 Elim churches in other countries. Elim is also in co-operative fellowship with thousands of Pentecostal churches around the world, and has missions work in over 40 countries.
ELIM ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Over 2,000 people gather for a week of worship, teaching and fellowship, and time is set aside for ministers and delegates to discuss matters relating to Elim. Elim has a significant part to play in the world today, and we are confidently looking forward to what God will do in the future.
The people in Elim Coatbridge are from all walks and stages of their life and church journey, we make sure our focus is on people and their relationship with Jesus and with each other. We encourage families to come together and enjoy the time together. At the message, we take the younger kids to the crèche and the older kids to the Sunday school, so mums and dads have a chance to relax and enjoy this quiet time.
The morning service starts at 11 am with a few songs, new and traditional. We have a bit of prayer and personal thanks to Jesus, a short message from the Bible that will hopefully encourage and
inspire you, and finally a time after the service to get to know the church better by simply mixing
We believe the relaxed atmosphere helps people to relax into the meeting, so we hope to see you soon to experience it for yourself.
