Following UK Government and Elim Central advice, we are closing the church due to the Covid-19 virus.
The advice from Elim Central below is a clip from the full release.
As a result of the latest Government and Public Health advice regarding the COVID-19 crisis on Monday 16 March 2020, we are taking the decision to suspend all Elim Church services from and including this Sunday, 22 March until further notice.
not take this decision lightly but do so believing we have a public duty to act responsibly in terms of the duty of care to all members of the community.
The latest advice includes a Government ban on large gatherings and a call for “social distancing”.
All Sunday and weekly meetings at the Church have been cancelled until further notice.
However, we have set up a number of ways to keep in contact with each other through social media and organised online 'meetings'.
Every Sunday at 11.00am, please go to our Church Facebook where we stream a live 'service'.
The Easter play performance has also been cancelled for this year, plenty of time to start learning lines for the Christmas play then!
We are, however, investigating ways to allow as many people as possible to 'socialise' through social media, please check the church Facebook page, Messenger and WhatsApp groups you may be part of for additional details. We all should look at this as a way to investigate and develop ways on how to 'Do Church' differently.
Thank you all.
